Win With Blackjack

I never understood why people would make simple mistakes when playing blackjack. You feel as though you want to warn people, don’t bet there, or take a card, or don’t take another card. When you deal the game its easy to identify what people are doing wrong and how there emotions play a big part in there decision making.

It’s always easier to make a call when what you are risking is minimal. When the stakes are higher peoples decision making changes. This is hard to accept as a dealer, when you think every decision is easy. The irony is when I found myself on the other side of the table making the same mistakes I saw every one else make.

The Basics of Blackjack The object of blackjack The object of blackjack, like many other casino card games is to beat the dealer. After a series of cards has been dealt by the dealer, to the players and himself, and your hand totals more than the dealers without exceeding twenty one, your a winner.

This rule does not change even though there are many variations of this great game .If your total is the same as the dealers the result is a push (not a win or a loss).

Playing Blackjack All face cards (jacks, queens and kings) have a value of ten. All cards from two to ten have a value equal to the number on the card. The ace has a value of one or eleven.

For example, if you are dealt a king and a seven your total is seventeen, if you are dealt an ace and a four your total is either five or fifteen. If you are dealt an ace and any card value of ten you have a blackjack which beats all other hands except one. That is if the dealer has a blackjack, in which case the result is a push, ending the hand and a new hand is dealt.
